lots of adorable sweetness coming your way in the form of picture overload...
we have been talking about trimming/cutting little dudes hair for a while now.
not because he gets mistaken for a girl,
or that we are worried of him being teased...
simply because...
he can't see and was getting frustrated pushing it back all the time.
so what better time than the present.
poppy was here.
mimi was able to make it up the stairs to see the littles.
::she is still healing from back surgery::
we got a few... bazillion... before photos...
oh those sweet curls...
i had to make sure to get those two strands that have always been straight.
he couldn't have been older than three months before we noticed...
his "reigns"...
oh those sweet strands i would curl while he nursed...
our little ham...
out to the living room for lollipops and Incredibles...
one little dude pony tail...
and mama made the first cut...
i still have the pony tail with the hair tie and those sweet baby curls.
notice the tissues next to the hair...
next came the shaping...
mama does her own hair,
so little dudes was a learning IN THE MOMENT type of haircut.
so trusting little dude...
and the finished style... back and side...
a few finishing touches with the scissors...
and i now present to you...
SOLOMON THOR... aka. LITTLE DUDE.
big sister is still not too happy about the cut...
she made it very clear to mama and daddy she did NOT approve.
he was getting antsy and was like,
"mama! enough. all done."
but we bribed him...
with a bouncy ball and candle holder so mama could snap a few more photos...
and of course a few other favorites...
poppy showing solly his hair for the first time in the mirror...
my heart is a puddle on the floor...
i think its safe to say he approves...
mama and daddy are still getting used to the no curls...
he seems much more sophisticated in his wild ways running through the house.
its still weird. no lie.
but i will say,
to see his sweet face without his hands ripping his hair back...
beautiful.
ok solomon thor...
your first hair cut went pretty well.
you did great.
mama is happy that no tears, no cuts and no "owies" occurred.
mama is now going to go swipe her tears away,
its hard watching her baby boy grow up right before her very eyes.
what an adventure you are little dude.
xoxo,
mama
and to all of you still around,
and who went on this hair cut photo dump with me...
i love you.
xoxo,
kate
